Arts Advocacy/ Prop. 28 In Butte County
A certificated Art Teacher and dedicated "hype person" for the arts, Julia has been the Butte County ARTS NOW Arts Advocate since 2024. She does work around supporting schools and districts with ways to use Prop. 28 money, and educating folks about Prop. 28 generally. To this end, she participated in the Butte County Strategic Art Education Plan, and created this website explaining what Prop. 28 is and does.
If you are in Arts Ed. or are a student/student parent, we encourage you to get informed about your rights to Art Education and how Prop. 28 supports that
Volunteer Opportunities
Since 2017, the workers of Pedal Press have donated almost all of their time and labor to both staff PP, and create its structure and function. If you want to get involved with our work, we have several ways to participate. Please fill out this brief survey to indicate what feels like a good fit to you.
If you want to stay in touch, please send an email to pedal2thepress@gmail.com letting us know you'd like to be added to our mailing list.
And: THANK YOU!
Your support for Pedal Press made it possible for us to become a non-profit.
All donations are now tax-deductible, and we are actively seeking grant funding.

This will increase our ability to create intergenerational spaces, supports and structures to explore individual and collective identities through printmaking.
